I walked into Synergy’s prep course a complete beginner and never lifting more than a 10 pound dumbbell in my life! I won’t lie, watching the vets of the community was intimidating, but the prep course walked us through the skills step by step making adjustments to meet each persons fitness level in the group. For the first time, I felt comfortable at a gym. The encouragement, support and skills I received at the prep course have set me on my fitness journey and I’ll never look at a 10 pound dumbbell again. We all need to start somewhere and I am so glad I started with Synergy!!

The prep course was overall an informative, enjoyable and very necessary experience to prepare me for the basics at Synergy. We seemed to touch on everything that Synergy has to offer and I was able to get a better idea as to what I was looking for in my fitness journey. Completing Synergy’s Prep Course was one of the best fitness decisions I have made! Over the course, I learned all of the fundamental crossfit movements, and the wide variety of scaling options available. This grew my crossfit confidence by 100x. My coach was a blast to work with and he taught me everything I needed to know about crossfit at Synergy! I have been attending group classes 4x a week since then and loving it! od news was that the the prep course was a nice gentle introduction to the basics. Chad was amazing at working with us to explain the movements and took the time to help each person individually — even in the group setting, he made sure that he wasn’t moving to fast for anyone. After finishing the prep course and attending a few classes, most of the pain from old injuries are already feeling much better. What I thought might make my knees hurt even more has actually helped them handle my normal day and still be able to workout in the evenings. CrossFit is often said to be a very social gym experience. This is very true, but even for those that think that they might not like that, they can take the “social” aspect of Synergy at their own pace. For a little while now, my wife and I have been looking for a social group that we can really immerse ourselves into. I think we have found our home at Synergy.
