  • Monitor your own performance to dial in meal and nutrient timing.

Once YOUR Nutrition Autopilot is developed it’s EASY to be consistent with your healthy eating habits and take the knowledge with you, even after you are done coaching.

WHOLE FOODS:

If you think eating healthy is boring and bland, you haven’t learned about  the incredible, palate-pleasing wonders of whole food nutrition! But what are whole foods? Pure and unprocessed, whole foods include fruits, vibrantly coloured vegetables, legumes, seeds, nuts, lean proteins and more!

When you eat a variety of whole foods, you give your body the nutrients it requires to function at its highest level.

Bottom line- Whole real foods are the best health care plan you’ll ever have!

JENNE DOAK

Having spent years in the bodybuilding & traditional gym world as both an athlete and personal trainer, I was ready to take on new challenges and expand my coaching knowledge. One session at Synergy Strength and I knew I had found my place. I love helping people of all ages and fitness levels improve their health and over all wellbeing. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing the excitement and pride in the people I work with as they tackle a new skill, achieve a personal best, or hit their nutritional goals. When you see that look of “I didn’t know I could do that!” or “I KNOW I’ve got this”- it is simply the BEST!

Back in January I took the step to improve my nutrition and self-love. I had the honor of meeting Jen prior to signing up and knew that this would be a space I could feel comfortable in and really take the next step in my fitness journey. There are trainers and there are coaches. Jen is the latter. By a long shot. I have met very few professionals in the health and fitness industry who care about people as Jenn does. She always puts her heart and soul into her work and I always feel like she genuinely cares about my success.

I cannot say enough about Jenne. I have worked with her on a nutritional level as my nutrition coach, as well as on the gym floor as my CrossFit coach. Wherever it may be, she is always your biggest cheerleader. I’ve worked with Jenne twice on the Quantum Leap program. During these periods, she was always responsive when I’d reached out, continuously had helpful tips and tricks and, during my struggles, when, to me, it mattered most, always had words of encouragement, support and sometimes tough love. My main goal during Quantum Leap was to build habits. It wasn’t so much about the scale (although a drop in weight wouldn’t have been a bad thing!), as it was about building a better, healthier, lifestyle - I wanted to be able to build habits that would keep me healthy for the long run. Jenne helped me to build those new habits. I’m happy to say I drink water every day now! I get over 7 hours of sleep a night. I walk more. I get more fruits and veggies. I’ve increased my protein. AND I workout (at least) 5 days a week. I FEEL healthier and, in that regard, I FEEL happier. If Jenne hadn’t been there to support me, be patient, and help me learn different ways of looking at how to accomplish this, I would have given up. I am a firm believer in things happening for a reason. I was at a really low point in my life- I had lost someone I cared about very deeply and was at the heaviest I had ever been 215 lbs. I was searching for a way to change my life and then I found Crossfit- Synergy to be exact. Through finding crossfit I found Jenne!! She is the best coach that I have ever worked with- I not only lost weight and gained muscle but also gained knowledge in understanding my body. Throughout the 6 months that I worked with Jenne she helped me through some mental hurdles like not focusing so much on the weight but on how I felt because losing weight is not only a physical journey it is a mental journey. Getting professional nutrition coaching has changed my life. Not that I hired a coach and a miracle occurred. It was actually simpler, harder and ultimately much more rewarding than any type of divine intervention. Simpler in the sense that it’s not rocket science. Learning nutrition basics (that all humans should know) allowed me to look at food differently and make intentional, informed decisions about what to put in my body. Harder because achieving my nutritional goals required discipline and commitment at a level that I had never before maintained. And more rewarding for many, many reasons. Most notably I look better, feel better, perform better (mentally and physically) and have more confidence to take on whatever challenges come my way.
I’ve been on my body transformation journey for a couple years and I’m still not done. I started with a 6-week nutrition challenge that got the ball rolling. Sometime after that I realized that reprogramming almost 5 decades of bad eating habits takes more than a couple months and that if I wanted the change to be permanent I needed to do the mental work to replace the old habits with new healthier ones. This was the hardest part for me. I found that many of my eating habits were attempts to self-soothe with food; behavior patterns I developed as a result of uncomfortable or painful experiences from my younger life. Not easy stuff, but definitely worth doing.
Jenne supported me through the mental and emotional remodeling, helped me talk things through, knew when to encourage, when to be tough and never judged. She’s knowledgeable, patient, passionate about helping others and one of the most caring humans I am privileged to know.

In all my years of yoyo dieting I never thought it was possible to lose weight. I have tried all sorts of different techniques to lose weight but it seems like my biggest issue was learning how to understand my relationship with food. Jenne taught me that my feelings are very important when it comes to my eating habits. Over the course of two years I have managed to lose almost 50 total lbs of fat and managed to gain a fair amount of muscle in this time. I feel more confident in myself and owe it all to the support of Jenne and the quantum leap program. There is still a long journey ahead but I feel much more prepared for the oncoming pressures thanks to all the help and knowledge that has been given to me from Jenne and the quantum leap program.
