Until last year I played senior hockey, and currently play Division 1 fastball in the city. I enjoy pretty much all sports, and enjoy travelling with my wife when we can. I follow the Paleo diet, and eat a lot different since I have joined Synergy Strength.
So how did I get started in crossfit… my wife Dee(also a crossfitter) came home one day and said we should check out this new workout program her friend Courtney was doing. Interested, I hit the computer to see what this is all about. The first thing I noticed was kipping this and kipping that, and I figured that I knew what that was all about. Needless to say I tried one(not a real KIP!!!) and Dee was then without a computer(I had smashed the screen with my hand) Come talk to me if you want to hear the whole story.
Anyway, it wasnt long after that incident that I walked through the big garage door and into this new “gym”. I have been hooked ever since. I am a really competive guy, and Crossfit has given me an avenue to continue competing. But I enjoy seeing everyone else’s PR’s as much as my own, its such a great atmosphere around the gym when a PR goes down.
I wish I had found crossfit earlier in life, and I plan on doing this for the rest of my life.
